The trail from Lindum takes you to Tjele Langsø, which is Denmark’s longest lake at nearly ten kilometres, situated in a valley formed during the last ice age. The lakeshore features unique groundwater springs and diverse flower meadows, providing a quiet habitat for wildlife like herons, ospreys, and kingfishers, while nearby jetties offer perfect spots for fishing and swimming.

Lake Glenstrup, located between Hobro and Randers, is North Jutland’s third largest lake and one of Denmark’s deepest, reaching up to 31 meters. Known for excellent predator fishing, it is home to trophy-sized pike over 15 kg, as well as perch, lake trout, eel, and various coarse fish. The scenic area offers fishing rights managed partly by the Hobro Sportfiskerforening, where visitors can buy a day pass or join the local angling club. With its tranquil waters and rich biodiversity, Lake Glenstrup is a must-visit spot for anglers and nature enthusiasts alike.

Facing the Mølledammen lake, this picnic area is perfect for a break far from traffic and noisy cities. You can sit back, relax and have to some great time in the nature here!

From this scenic spot, located next to the harbour of Hobro and the camper and caravan parking, you can have a great view of the Mariager fjord. Few boats and animals will make up a very idyllic scenario.
