The Nied railway bridge in Frankfurt am Main is the second oldest railway bridge still in operation in Germany.[1] The arched bridge was built in 1838 and went into operation in 1839. The Taunus Railway crosses the Nidda River on it. The bridge is located between Frankfurt Central Station and Frankfurt-Höchst Station in the Nied district.

Now with the new asphalt in the lower half, the drive up here is even better. It's a pleasant ride.

Very steep, quite narrow in places with cars

The Höchster weir is located on the Nidda between Nied and Höchst. Until 2013, there was a classic weir with flaps here. Since this weir was insurmountable for fish, it was converted into a weir, which allows fish to migrate effortlessly and offers them new habitats. Some species of fish lay their spawn here and do not want to be disturbed by swimming people or dogs. Great asphalt, be careful, lots of pedestrians and families. It gets noticeably cool in the tunnel in summer.
