Huge and massive, built of stone, the tower is located very close to Göttingen. Depending on the route, reaching it can be strenuous. It's open until 6 pm on weekends and public holidays. It also looks beautiful at night when it's illuminated.

Not much remains of it. These are ruins, some of which have been renovated. The lookout tower is closed, and there's no viewing platform or anything like that. Nevertheless, it's a good place to take a break (there are benches and a table) and enjoy the old ruins. An information panel is also available if you'd like to read a bit about the site.

Beautiful grounds and a beautiful park that has a lot to offer for young and old. There are extensive, well-kept green areas, beautiful trees of all kinds, a nice pavilion, a mini golf course, permission to grill and appropriate charcoal disposal and a lavishly equipped and well-maintained playground for the children.

The existence of Neptune was independently predicted by Jean Joseph Leverrier and John Couch Adams due to perturbations in the orbit of Uranus, and on September 23, 1846, Neptune was discovered not far from the predicted location by Johann Galle. Like Uranus, Neptune's bluish appearance is due to a high proportion of methane in the outer layers of the atmosphere.
