Start in the southeastern district of Neumühle and enjoy the peaceful lakeside walk, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The shoreline offers varied, mostly wooded and sometimes steep sections, especially on the northern shore in the Friedrichsthal Forest.

A very beautiful single trail. You'll have to endure a few nettles in the summer, but you'll be rewarded with some beautiful scenery. It's also worth stopping to admire the ancient beech trees.

Pushing is the order of the day here

Today the castle ensemble belongs to the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and is used by, among others, an art association and the State Office for Monument Preservation.

Riding bicycles in the castle gardens is prohibited. Even pushing bicycles is prohibited there. You can park your bikes at the bus stop. Or at the cafe. Why someone here is copying and pasting 8 times and thus posting 8 tips is anyone's guess.
