The path past the mills ends in a dead end, even though the map indicates otherwise. I made my own way to the paved road.

If I'm not mistaken, some of the floats on this bridge are leaking. You'll notice it when you walk across. The view over the Zevenhuizerplas is magnificent.

Saw both deer tracks and fox tracks. A fantastic area for walking. By the way, great photos from @Gastheerg

This mini area is also well worth spotting dragonflies, bees and other small creatures.

In the evening, when there are more insects in the air and the swallows have young, it is a real spectacle.

One of the most beautiful paths in the Hoge Bergse Bos. Look carefully in the reeds because there are many birds here.

Today we walked from Benthuizen. The weather was beautiful. Many cyclists and walkers. The 42 km walk included a tour of the Rottemeer. Very beautiful and wonderful nature reserve. Beautiful bridge. View of the Rotterdam skyline. Very beautiful

Nice to walk along - and I come here very often - but during the summer holidays I prefer to stay away. Still a bit too much behavior that is not my own.
