Terkaple Church is a Protestant church building in Terkaple, in the Dutch province of Friesland. The foundation stone was laid on April 1, 1854, by Anne Jacobs Hilverda. The church was built on the foundations of a Romanesque chapel belonging to the Van Oenema family. Carved tombstones of the noble Van Oenema and Van Roorda families are located in the church floor: one by P. Dircks from 1570 and one by Jacob Lous from 1610. These tombstones, along with the mechanical tower clock from around 1600 and the churchyard, are national monuments. The organ, built in 1924 by the firm of M. Spiering, is located above the pulpit on the east side of the church.

Nice little bridge. It's easy to cross here unless there's a lot of ship traffic.

Since 2017, the Terhernster Veer Foundation has operated the ferry service between Eetcafé Portunus (Terherne) and Eetcafé 't Slûske/Jachthaven Sneekerhof (Tersoalstersyl). The trip across the Princess Margriet Canal takes about 10 minutes and also connects cycling junctions 42 and 43.

Nice electric ferry. Self-service... press two buttons before it works. It took a while before we figured it out and that it actually worked.

Terherne, known as the "Kameleondorp" (Chameleon Village), is an island in the Sneekermeer lake. On one side, you'll find the lake, and on the other, the Terhernster pools.

A must for cyclists who like the vastness and the view to the horizon.
