Penningas Mill (English: Penninga's Mill) or De Jonge Wester is a smock mill built in 1900.

If you want to cross to the other side, you press the button by the sign, and the ferry floats by as if by magic 😁 . Once you've boarded, you press the button on the ferry and cross to the other side. It's a great thing 👍🏼

The wooden bell tower in Akmarijp stands in a tree-lined cemetery. The church in Akmarijp was demolished in 1722. In 1844, the remaining tower was demolished and replaced by a bell tower.

Terherne, known as the "Kameleondorp" (Chameleon Village), is an island in the Sneekermeer lake. On one side, you'll find the lake, and on the other, the Terhernster pools.

In a slightly raised churchyard along the canal in Broek stands a white-painted bell tower with a helmet-shaped roof. The bell was cast in 1600 by Hendrik Wegewaert.
