Definitely a highlight, but unfortunately, the castle was covered in scaffolding when I visited. The castle dates back to the Middle Ages but was later almost completely rebuilt.

A beautiful beach with high waves depending on the weather, also great for surfers (there's also a surf school)! There's a small swimming area with lifeguards on duty.

A bit of a strange location but the view is magnificent

A difficult and very tiring route. Arriving at the hermitage is worth every effort. Not to be missed.

A beautiful vantage point. If the season is right, there's also the opportunity to watch whales. The path further to Gaztelugatxe, however, requires pushing because it's very overgrown. We didn't go far, but turned around and drove back along the road.

From the lighthouse you have a 270° view on the coast, very clear on st juan de Gaztelugatxe, perfect spot for some scenic pictures!

Great view of the peninsula! In my opinion, you can save yourself the trip to the peninsula and the online registration process.

Start of the 100% pedestrian section of the path (shared with cyclists). The path runs to Sopela, Barinatxe beach (La Salvaje).
