Definitely a highlight, but unfortunately, the castle was covered in scaffolding when I visited. The castle dates back to the Middle Ages but was later almost completely rebuilt.

I've been going there for many years. It's not really a beach, but a cove of fine pebbles, and swimming requires caution; there are a lot of rocks at the entrance. The surrounding area allows for several trails.

Ours is a traditional Plentzia bar, located opposite the passageway. On sunny days, it's a real pleasure to have an aperitif on the terrace overlooking the estuary.

Cool castle, graceful as it stands there. By the way, a really beautiful hiking area.
