Access is via a very accessible path, 900 m from the last parking lot. You can also park in the parking lot just to the left of the departmental road, which is 1400 m from the path.

The arrival at the refuge, after a very pleasant climb through the forest to the sound of the torrent, opens onto a landscape which announces the continuation of the hike: we pass to the alpine level with its mountain pastures and its scree. The view at sunset must be magnificent!

This alpine gîte is perched at an altitude of 1,784 meters on the Belledonne massif. It accommodates in dormitory up to 22 people and offers small dishes to eat. Remember to book in advance on the refuge website: http://www.combemadame.com/
