Trézence 계곡을 내려다보는 절벽 위에 고립되어 있는 St-Pierre de Puyrolland 교회의 기념비적인 유적은 이 아름다운 자연 경관의 매력을 더합니다. 로마네스크 양식의 포털의 높은 품질의 조각은 성가대석의 고딕 양식 요소들과 나란히 있으며, 그 매력에 빠져들게 됩니다. 전설에 따르면 이 언덕은 샤를마뉴 대제의 조카인 롤랑에 의해 만들어졌다고 합니다. 이 지역은 순례자와 가난한 사람들을 수용하기 위한 메종-디외(수도원 겸 병원)가 있었으며, 성 로물드 수도사들이 거주하며 로마네스크 양식의 교회가 세워졌다고 합니다. 12세기 초반의 첫 번째 건축물의 흔적이 남아 있으며, 특히 서쪽 파사드의 하부와 남북 벽의 작고 좁은 두 개의 창문이 있습니다. 백년 전쟁 이후 건물은 부분적으로 재건되었습니다. 평평한 후진, 고딕 양식의 트레이서리가 있는 창문, 그리고 버트레스는 이러한 공사의 증거입니다. 종교 전쟁으로 인해 추가적인 파괴와 부분적인 재건이 이루어졌으며, 신랑의 처음 두 개의 베이는 폐쇄되어 오늘날에도 교구 교회로 사용되는 소박한 건물이 되었습니다. 18세기와 19세기에 수행된 공사에는 특히 두 개의 반원형 아치 창문이 뚫린 높은 파사드 종탑의 추가가 포함되었습니다. 교회의 폐허가 된 부분은 90년대에 통합 및 복원 공사를 거쳤습니다.

In the center of the village there is a small square surrounded by trees with a small pavilion in the middle. Opposite is the Saint-Pierre church, with a sober interior and a pleasantly contemplative atmosphere.

The Romanesque Église Saint-Pierre de Puyrolland is situated on the outskirts of town on a hill, from where you have a wonderful view over the surrounding countryside.

A simple 12th century Romanesque church. There isn't much of a rush here, so you can enjoy the soothing tranquility for a few minutes.

Also within the castle walls is the 11th-century Romanesque church of Notre-Dame de Surgères. The interior impresses with its sublime simplicity of light stone.

The town housed a castle in the 12th century when the lords of the town played an important political role in the region. Today, there remains the 16th century enclosure, which has been altered several times over the course of the wars. The park of the castle, raised and rich in stories, constitutes a place of rest and pleasant walk.
