Panthier Lake (or Panthier Reservoir) is a 130 ha lake in Côte d'Or (Burgundy, administrative region Bourgogne-Franche-Comté) located in the communes of Vandenesse-en-Auxois, Créancey and Commarin. It is the largest lake in Côte-d'Or and one of the five reservoirs created to supply the Burgundy Canal. It is also a bird sanctuary and is listed in the general inventory of historical heritage.

This castle has been a Historic Monument since 1988. It was rebuilt in the 17th century; now it is temporarily closed.

Shaft XIII and its history: Dug during construction of the Blaisy-Bas railway tunnel in the 1850s. It is one of 22 extraction shafts spaced 200m apart, which allowed the cuttings to be evacuated from above during the works. It is now used as a ventilation shaft and allows the excess pressure due to the passage of trains in the tunnel to be evacuated.

At the top of the valley, this huge rock is a top climbing spot. The view is also impressive.

Admiring the view from the top of these cliffs is hardly more enjoyable than making sure one comes to admire the cliffs themselves from below. 100 meters of vertical rock.
