This bridge is representative of the structures created by Pierre-Paul Riquet during the construction of the Canal du Midi at the end of the 17th century. Its semicircular arch forms a perfect half-circle. It is typical of the structures found along the entire length of the canal. Its construction method, dimensions, and the use of local materials represent a standardization that contributes to the canal's unique character. Red brick is the emblematic material of the Toulouse plain. This bridge, located in the municipalities of Deyme and Pompertuzat, has been listed as a historical monument since 1998.

A pilgrims' hostel run by the Association of Friends of the Way of St. James Occitaine in a former lock keeper's house. Since April 2023, pilgrims with ID / Credencial can stay here for €17 per night. Breakfast is available for a donation. There are 14 places. It is advisable to reserve the evening before. The surroundings are very beautiful. A little bumpy section, but overall quite pleasant when the ground is dry. Be careful, some places seem to stay greasy for quite a long time, and can make the experience a little more messy.

Nice campsite near the Canal du Midi. For cyclists many seat-guided. Great sanitary facilities. The only disadvantage: is in the flight path from the airport, you can also hear the motorway. The main street is relatively quiet at night.
