Very nice starting point to explore Nevers or Sancerre.

It's not an exceptional site but pretty all the same, however we were very disappointed by the rest of the route. The countryside is not great in this part of France, there are a lot of cars on the roads.

A lovely little farm along the Loire, ideal for a short break. You can admire many animals (llamas, peacocks, ornamental chickens, pigs, yaks, sheep, etc.), and also have a drink or a meal there.

Former Romanesque abbey church, built between the 11th and 12th century. It was then the second largest church in France with that of Cluny. The nave no longer exists today but you can still admire the remains of the abbey, including a magnificent bell tower, the Sainte-Croix tower, and two Romanesque portals (one still in place and the other reassembled in the church ).
