La Charité-sur-Loire, town of art and history, whose 900-year-old bell tower is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Located along the Loire and accessible via a stone bridge built in 1520, Charité-Sur-Loire is a sloping town, made up of alleys lined with old houses. Its Notre-Dame Church and its priory housed 200 monks during the great Cluniac era.

At Charité-sur-Loire, the Loire Bridge is a stone bridge dating from 1520. Of the eleven arches that support the structure, only ten are visible. The work has only one arch allowing the passage of boats, identifiable by its stone pyramid (which also bore a cross until the Revolution).
