Most beautiful village in the district!

A truly worthwhile gem in a deep sleep. Something between a lost place, a museum, and "Findus and Pettersson in total peace."

An information board at this point provides information about the "Hornhäuser Reitersteine". The site where the stones were found is also located not far away in the field.

The passage is not recommended for cyclists. There are actually only two reasons to cycle this route: 1) You want to train for the legendary cobblestone passages at Paris-Roubaix 2) You want to plunder the fruit trees along the route.

The outer door was not locked, so a view into the large interior was possible.

Gunsleben train station was on the Wolfenbüttel–Oschersleben railway line. The route was interrupted between Gunsleben and Jerxheim in Lower Saxony after the division of Germany. In 1992, traffic between Gunsleben and Oschersleben was stopped and the route was later closed and dismantled. The train station building in Gunsleben has been preserved and is a listed building.
