The Communstolln is a mining facility first documented in 1739. Today, it is 300 meters long and, after extensive reconstruction, was used as a water tunnel for the drinking water supply of the town of Lößnitz from 1866 onwards. At that time, the flow rate was 200 liters of water per minute.
