Heiligendamm is considered a noble address on the Mecklenburg Baltic coast. The first German seaside resort impresses with historic buildings, a long beach with a pier and the Molli spa railway. "The white city by the sea" - this is what Heiligendamm is also called because of a row of white-painted historic houses on the beach. As early as 1793, Duke Friedrich Franz I of Mecklenburg-Schwerin had Heiligendamm founded as the first German seaside resort. To this day, the spa town, which lies in the middle of extensive beech forests, has a sophisticated image. This is also reflected in a luxury hotel that uses several of the historic buildings on a spacious site, including the spa house from 1816.

The Molli spa railway, also called the Molli (line number: RB 31[2]), is a steam-powered narrow-gauge railway in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Its track width is 900 millimeters. The 15.43-kilometer-long route is now operated by the Mecklenburgische Bäderbahn Molli (MBB) railway company and connects Bad Doberan with Heiligendamm and the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn. The journey takes around 40 minutes. Within Bad Doberan, the train runs on grooved rails that lie in the pavement, similar to a tram, through the Mollistraße, which is named after it. It then runs on Vignol rails along an avenue of linden trees. Between Heiligendamm and the Baltic Sea resort of Kühlungsborn, the route runs parallel to the Baltic Sea coast across fields.🚂🚃🚃🚃

Discover the oldest narrow-gauge railway on the Baltic coast between Kühlungsborn and Bad Doberan. The Molli with the rare gauge of 900 mm has been part of the townscape since 1886. 365 days a year, the spa railway runs through the main shopping street of Bad Doberan, past the white city by the sea - Heiligendamm, to the largest German Baltic Sea resort, Kühlungsborn.

Fishing enthusiasts can fish in the Baltic Sea all year round from the Heiligendamm pier. From October to May, there are no limits to the fishing fun. From May 1st to September 30th, fishing from the pier is only permitted in the early morning and evening hours (9 p.m. - 8 a.m.) due to the bathing and water sports season.
