The Grumfeld West megalithic tomb dates back to the Neolithic period, approximately 3500–2800 BC. The large burial complex in Giersfeld consists of two separate burial chambers located directly behind one another, each of which could be considered a stately megalithic tomb in its own right. A plaque provides information about this.

The extensive grounds of the Artland golf club are powdered white.

This stone grave bears the name Grumfeld West with the Sprockhoff no. 895. It really is the most impressive megalithic tomb I have ever seen. The only downside is that it's right on a golf course where several paths are private.

The Westerholter Grenzweg is very nice to hike. The TERRA.track Fuchsweg also passes here, which you can see from the small markings on the trees. A couple of benches are available for a rest.

The route leads through forest and forest.

From this small hill on the TERRA.track Fuchsweg, the view sweeps far into the surrounding area.

Very nice church in beautiful surroundings.

It is a stone-age large chamber grave. There are many of these in the region, but the size of this tomb is impressive. It is not for nothing that the megalithic cycle path passes here.
