Both the cake and the ice cream are worth a stop here (although the ice cream at the other end of town is also good). Unfortunately, the yield of photos that really show the highlight is once again very poor at 1/30 - a shame.

The history of the small town of Ankum goes back a long way. It was first mentioned in a document in 977, then under the name Ainghem. Mainly cloth was traded locally, as well as livestock to this day. The Artland Cathedral towers proudly in the historic town center. Right next door you will find cozy cafés and restaurants that invite you to linger.
