Here, opposite the former water police station, the channel is really wide. Possibly even wide enough for ships to turn around.

Here the branch canal flows into the Mittelland Canal.

Beautiful, quiet area for cycling. Great views.

From the bridge you have a beautiful view of the canal and the yacht club.

There is also a very nice rest area right next to the canal with a bench, map information and bicycle repair station.

There is clearly more going on here on the Mittelland Canal than on the branch canal. Unfortunately, this is due to the short locks in the branch canal, which cannot accommodate every canal boat.

It doesn't necessarily look nice anymore (graffiti), but it serves its purpose.
