The "Obere Wagensass" offers a free hiking car park, where seven beautiful trails start. You can choose the right trail from an information board. There is also a playground, a forest nature trail and a fitness trail.

The train station in Sulzbach-Rosenfeld has no further infrastructure. It is located directly at Bürgerpark.

There are two train stations in the city, both on the Nuremberg – Irrenlohe railway line. The Sulzbach-Rosenberg train station is located near Sulzbach's old town and is usually served by regional express trains every hour. Until 2023, these trains also stopped irregularly at Sulzbach-Rosenberg Hütte station, which is located east of the city center near the former Maxhütte. The stop has no longer been served since the timetable change in December 2023.[37] City buses operate in the city center on behalf of the Amberg-Sulzbach Local Transport Association. Only two remain of the former multi-track station. Industry (e.g. Maxhütte, Rohrwerk, Malzfabrik...) required a good connection.

On the tar road back to the hiking car park you can really accelerate again.
