The summit of the Rotbühl is decorated with a small cross and a nice bench to relax. At 673m, it is the highest point in the Amberg Sulzbach district. The Buchberghütte nearby and the cross-country skiing center also make it interesting for hikers and mountain bikers.

From the Rödlas lookout tower you can see the entire northern Upper Palatinate and parts of Franconia. The basalt cone Rauher Kulm and the rose quartz rock Parkstein are just as recognizable as the Ochsenkopf, the Schneeberg, the Kösseine and Franconian Switzerland.

The observation tower is on Rödlaser Berg, right on the edge of the forest near the village of Rödlas and Massenricht in the Amberg-Sulzbach district. The tower is 32m high, and has 158 steps, with three triangular roofed viewing platforms over the corners. At the top of the viewing platform you have a beautiful, wide all-round view of the basalt cone Parkstein, Rauher Kulm, and Steinwald. The tower is recommended for hikers and bikers, as there is a wonderful view from the platform.
