A beautiful and clean bathing pond with clear water, and the lawn offers plenty of space and shade for resting and relaxing.

The two statues, made of Ihrl green sandstone, represent trade/commerce and charity. There is also a bust of Karl Ebert, added in the 1920s. He was the founder of the town hall clock.

The town hall is a listed building in Amberg, an independent city in the Upper Palatinate administrative region (Bavaria).

During Advent there is a cozy Christmas market on the market square.

After the fire of 1356, construction began on a site that is characteristic of the townscape to the east of the market square. The gatekeepers at the Nabburg Gate guarded the entrance to the city. The upper floors of the towers housed detention cells, comparable to today's sobering-up cells. Inmates were usually only there at night; during the day they had to help with the construction and maintenance of the fortifications.

The town hall in the historic old town with good building fabric is located on the market square on the way to the train station on the left. The harmonious façade in white with yellowish ornaments and balcony with staircase are striking. These striking features set the town hall apart from the surrounding buildings, as it is no larger or higher than the other buildings. In the shadow of St. Martin's Church on the opposite side, it even seems rather small.
