In memory of the refugees who found rest and help on the Bindlacher Berg, the cross is from 2002

In June 2014, three steles and a boulder were inaugurated as a memorial at the former main entrance to the barracks in memory of the Bayreuth garrison and the Markgrafen barracks.

Unfortunately, the ant isn't in particularly good condition anymore. Hopefully, it will be restored soon. Nevertheless, it's still recognizable as an ant and still a good place for a quick detour. It's right on the trail, after all. ^^

The Hopfengarten is located in the Wilhelminenaue, embedded in the grounds of the former 2016 State Garden Show, which has been freely accessible since April 2017. In addition to great viewing points and event areas, the park offers a wide range of leisure activities such as beach volleyball, a dirt bike facility, a hedge theater and a lake stage, as well as relaxed areas for barbecues and picnics.

From the hill at the Hopfengarten in the 2016 State Garden Show area, you have a beautiful view of the renaturalized course of the Red Main through the Wilhelminenaue.
