On the Buchleite hill, not far from Callenberg Castle, is the ducal cemetery for members of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, established in 1944. Previously, the family members were buried in the ducal mausoleum in Coburg. Numerous stone steps form a curved staircase leading to the cemetery, surrounded by a low stone wall. A massive stone cross and seven burial plots covered by crypt slabs are located here. The grave of Prince Andreas of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha is still fresh and bears a wooden cross.
