A very well-developed cycle path offers the shortest connection between Coburg and Seßlach. Those who prefer a more challenging route can cycle from Witzmannsberg via Krumbach and take the trail. However, cyclists have the advantage here.

The master brewer is employed by the city of Seßlach and is responsible for the so-called "Kommunbräu" (communal brewery). His personal territory – the Kommunbrauhaus (Maximiliansplatz 105) at the lower end of Pfarrgasse – was built in 1892 and later renovated in 1960 and 1997/1988. It is one of the last breweries of its kind. Approximately 40 batches are brewed annually. Of these, around 40% go to the local inns Gasthof Reinwand and Landgasthof ROTER OCHSE Seßlach, and approximately 60% to private individuals. In the past, teachers and pastors were often closely linked in their roles and prestige, as they were among the most important dignitaries in a place, exercising authority and shaping public life. These two professions were often combined in one person, as pastors frequently also worked as teachers, especially in rural communities. And so, here too, the former school is located right next to the church, no wonder.

Beautiful route to Coburg

Next to the church is the old schoolhouse. This is not surprising, as in the past, the priest was often also the village teacher. In many parishes, the priest was the sole contact for education. He was responsible not only for the spiritual care of the parish, but also for the education of the children, often referred to as preceptor or schoolmaster. This role of the priest as teacher was widespread until the 18th century, before specialized teachers and schools developed. Next to the church is the old schoolhouse.
