The Sentiero degli Ezzelini is a cycle-pedestrian path of about 40 kilometers, which follows the Muson and Lastego streams, connecting Resana to Pieve del Grappa, at the foot of Monte Grappa. Mostly on dirt roads, it passes through eight municipalities of Treviso, offering a journey through nature, history and culture. Ideal for excursions by bike or on foot, it allows you to discover the beauty of the Veneto countryside and its food and wine traditions.

It's always nice to go and drink coffee in the centre of Asolo

The vital hub of Asolo. For sports enthusiasts, a coffee in the bars overlooking the square is a must, as is the entrance to the Duomo, with Renaissance treasures.

This cycle path runs along the fresh waters of the Muson stream. You pedal on a compact dirt surface, with the exception of an asphalted stretch, in a suggestive panorama, immersing yourself in the quiet of countryside nature.

Asolo is a small, walled town with many narrow streets. It is one of the most beautiful medieval 'Borghi' in Italy and is known as the 'Pearl of Treviso'. The small picturesque village is nestled in the foothills of the Dolomites. You can park your car outside the city walls in the underground car park "Cipressina". A steep climb takes you to the city gate 'Portello di Castelfranco' and via the 'Via Browning' you reach the pleasant Piazza Garibaldi. On the main square, the 15th century Palazzo della Ragione with its beautiful artefacts is worth a visit. Rocca di Asolo, which rises high above the town, triggers many visitors. If you would like to get to know this castle, check the opening hours in advance. The path to it is a tough one. Unfortunately, we missed the effort ☹. The 'Lock' was locked. We were able to satisfy our hunger for medieval architecture in the Castello Pretorio. It is a hidden gem in the idyllic town. Free access gives you the opportunity to delve into the long, special history of the fort. It is an early medieval fortress that has had different residents and interpretations over the centuries. Take the time to hit the pause button and enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the Belevedere della Specola. On the artistic bench 'Il Bacio' by serverino Morlin, which is placed in the shadow of the Duomo di Santa Maria Assunta, we say goodbye to the 'Pearl of Treviso' with a big kiss. It was nice to be there for a few hours.

The first documented mention of the complex dates back to 969 when the ecclesia in honore was called Beatae Virgins Mariae constructa. According to the description of a pastoral visit, in 1584 the church must have assumed the structure that can still be seen today. In 1606, after the roof collapsed, it was rebuilt, as were the roof, apse and main altar. It was in that century that the building lost traces of its medieval layout. The architect was commissioned in the mid-18th century. Massari for a reorganization of the interior. The cathedral has three naves with stone columns. At the main altar are two angels by Giuseppe Bernardi; the baptismal font from 1491 bears the coat of arms of Queen Cornaro, who dedicated it to the architect. Francesco Graziolo. There are then two important altarpieces by Lorenzo Lotto and Jacopo Da Ponte. The exterior facade is the result of an intervention completed in 1889 based on a project by Pietro Saccardo, who placed the visible facade next to the old facade.
