1983年6月19日に落成したフォッサルタ・ディ・ピアヴェの平和記念碑は、第一次世界大戦の象徴的な場所であるピアヴェ川のほとりに、「99年組」によって建てられた洗礼盤です。マルコ・フリアッシが設計したこの作品は、戦没者の追悼と未来の平和の価値を結びつけ、兄弟愛の警告を表しています。

A peace monument, commissioned by the "Boys of '99" on the banks of the "sacred" Piave River, it was inaugurated on June 19, 1983. It is rooted in the past, in memory of the fallen of the Great War, but above all, it is a reminder of peace and brotherhood for all peoples, especially for future generations. Every year, the anniversary of the inauguration is celebrated in conjunction with the "Day of Peace," during which Italian and foreign children receive Holy Baptism as a sign of peace and brotherhood among peoples.
