The Mandelli Mill was the largest flour factory in Treviso, the first large industrial plant which marked, in the last quarter of the last century, the transition from an artisanal economy to a real industrial economy. It rises at the confluence of the Storga and the Sile, in Porto di Fiera. From the papers preserved in the State Archives of Venice there is evidence of a mill already active in the 15th century. In a subsequent map of the Napoleonic land register, dated 1759, two mills can be seen on the sides of the Storga, one with three wheels and one with two, belonging respectively to Bernardin and F.lli Renier and to the Pietà hospital in Venice. It was in 1876 that Luigi Mandelli had a new "Hungarian system" mill built above the former factories, consisting of a vast building in which wheat was milled for the production of bread and bran flours. The mill had driving power represented by two hydraulic motors, which used the waters of the Storga, two Brown-Boveri electric motors and a reserve steam engine. The milling complex is located in a strategic position. The proximity to the Sile river in fact allowed the transportation of grain by water to Venice and the loading-unloading of the goods took place directly from the boats to the silos. Part of the goods were then also transported with carts and mules, given the proximity of the Callalta road. At the beginning of our century the building and the grain warehouses underwent transformations dictated by the renewal of the machinery and the manufacturing process. The complex expanded into several parts, which aggregated around the original nucleus in different periods. To the west of the complex, there is the main villa and some two-storey workers' houses, in good condition and still used. Once the milling activity ceased, the building was used first as a grain warehouse and later as a cocoon dryer. It has been lying in a state of abandonment since the 1990s. In October 2023, a maxi urban and real estate redevelopment project for the area was officially unveiled, which will see the birth of a new cutting-edge neighborhood, surrounded by a green area open to the public, homes, restaurants, offices. https://www.mulinimandelli.it

The Sile Towpath (or Restera) is a cycle-pedestrian path along the longest resurgence river in Europe. It follows the so-called Strada Alzaia which from Treviso reaches Casier, formerly used to tow from the shore (with oxen or horses) the large boats that went upstream from Venice and docked at the river port of Treviso. This stretch begins at the Prato Fiera car park, reaches via Alzaia on the left bank of the Sile and continues towards the Mulini Mandelli. Once past the ring road, the Sile divides, forming the island of Villapendola.

It arises from various springs distributed between Casacorba di Vedelago (TV) and Torreselle di Piombino Dese (PD); the Coa Longa fountain, considered the main source, is located in the latter's territory. It flows with a certain sinuosity from west to east and, once it reaches the capital of the Marche, it bends in a south-east direction towards the lagoon. It once flowed into Portegrandi di Quarto d'Altino, but in 1663 the Serenissima diverted its course via the Taglio del Sile canal, which transferred its waters to the old bed of the Piave, which in turn was diverted further east (so the last stretch is also called Piave Vecchia). It finally flows into the Adriatic, dividing the Lido di Jesolo from the Cavallino coast (port of Piave Vecchia). In Portegrandi, however, the old course is still followed by a branch, called Silone, which gives access to the lagoon (nautical traffic is regulated by locks). The Silone proceeds through the marshes and is extended by the Borgognoni canal-Burano canal, which leads to the Treporti canal and, finally, to the lido port. The entire course is protected by the Sile River Regional Natural Park. As regards the reclamation consortia, its hydrographic basin is divided between the Piave and the Acque Risorgive.

The Storga Park is a protected area of 67 hectares aimed at protecting the local naturalistic and ethnographic heritage. Located on part of the land of the former Provincial Psychiatric Hospital, it consists of reforested areas, closed fields, perimeter hedges and, above all, the resurgences of the Storga, a tributary of the Sile which flows entirely in the municipality of Treviso. The main entrance, to the north, is located in Via Cal di Breda, near the Case Piavone Ethnographic Museum. Ample parking is available here. On the south side, however, it is accessed from Via delle Prade or Via della Madonetta, where the small church of the same name stands. On the west side, however, it is accessible from the S. Artemio Park, on the edge of the buildings that house the headquarters of the Province of Treviso. At the center of the park stands the former agricultural colony, where today important initiatives are located: the Environmental Education and Culture Center, the Wildlife Recovery Center and the Urban Gardens, an important project that aims to enhance the aggregative-social role of production of vegetables and fruit for family use. https://www.lastorga.eu

Villa Tiepolo Passi is a seventeenth-century Venetian villa located in Carbonera in the Castello area (province of Treviso). It is an asset listed by the Superintendence of Cultural Heritage and is open to visitors. It was built by Almorò Tiepolo, procurator of San Marco and senator of the Republic of Venice, in the early seventeenth century. It was built, like the other Venetian villas, as an economic point of reference for the agricultural activities of the surrounding area Subsequently the villa passed to the Venetian family of the Valier and in the mid-nineteenth century it became the property of the Passi de Preposulo counts by inheritance: bound by the Superintendency of Cultural Heritage and open to visitors, it is still inhabited by the owners. Since 2010 it has been the headquarters of the Venetian Villas Association.
