A bike ride took us to Lodi and among the wonders of this city there is a very small and very suggestive square, since it opens behind the Broletto and is closed between its porticoes and the left side of the Cathedral. Since the Middle Ages, the public life of the city has taken place here. Now there is the main seat of the Municipality and the Council, but also some stalls, a flower shop, the tourist office and a bar with outdoor tables. In the center, a fountain in pink Carrara marble, obtained from the baptismal font of the church.

The Cathedral of Lodi is the oldest sacred building in the city. Its construction was commissioned by Frederick Barbarossa and began in the year 1160 and ended a hundred years later. The composition of the facade, the use of exposed bricks and the design layout make the Lodi Cathedral one of the most famous examples of Lombard-Emilian style, more commonly known as Romanesque.
