The Church is dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of Carmel and to Saint Joseph. It is a beautiful brick church built around 1730 and overlooking a long tree-lined square. Next to the church you can visit the Madonna's cave.

I was here twice because when I was changing because of the heavy rain I forgot my glasses on the outside ledge of the church.....just back in the rain when I noticed it..... :-))

Morimondo Abbey is the oldest in all of Lombardy and the fourth in Italy. Founded in 1134 by Cistercian monks from France, you can visit the entire complex on weekends with a guide. In Morimondo there are several restaurants and a good ice cream shop.

The route starts from Bereguardo. It is the typical path of the dirt roads in the Ticino park. The problem is that there are several properties closed by gates (Cantarana farmhouse ..) so you have to make a lot of detours.
