There is no more way here. It has become a nature reserve and the path has been renatured. The entrance from the railway cycle path and the other entrance from the Alte Alster have been filled in with tree waste.

Very close to the nature reserve with its unmistakable flora and fauna of a moor landscape.

A scenic and quiet round around the Nienwohlder Moor

The ones in the photos are not Galloways, but Highlands. You can tell by the horns.

Between Sülfeld and Nahe / Itzstedt you have to decide on the next section of the route. Along the moor towards Nienwohld / Bagfeld-Stegen / Nahe or Sülfeld / Itzstedt / Borstel. In order to think again about the upcoming route, you can linger here briefly or longer. Regardless of the result, it is always the right decision. (However, we would choose the direction of the moor).

A varied tour with cranes through forests and the moor. Narrow paths in the skren peat landscape and the small lake are good for the soul 👍

The small bridge can get a little slippery in winter. I always find such small bridges in the forest very beautiful!
