Waiting for the sunset

The Sanremo Casino is located right at the beginning of the main shopping street. It is one of the city's most famous landmarks and a symbol of its glamorous past: opened in 1905, the Art Nouveau building impresses with its elegant facades and opulent halls.

Today's port area of Sanremo blends a modern Riviera atmosphere with maritime flair. Around Porto Vecchio and the newer marina, elegant sailboats mingle with promenades, restaurants, and cafés right on the waterfront. Where trade and fishing once dominated, leisure, tourism, and relaxed strolling now define the scene. The port is a popular meeting place, especially in the evenings.

In August, it's nice and cool in the tunnels. Wonderful route, one of the most beautiful bike paths anywhere. You should set off early, around 8 a.m., in midsummer; there are plenty of places to stop for refreshments. Easy (or not at all) route profile. Easy rolling!
