Stubberup Church was formerly called the "White Virgin" and served as a navigational landmark for sailors on the Great Belt. It dates from the years 1100-1200. Around 1500, the nave was enlarged so that the church could accommodate more people. From the outside, the oldest part, from the Romanesque period, can be seen, featuring a round-arch frieze. The tower was completed around 1600, the church's richly carved pulpit dates from around 1580, and the altarpiece dates from 1632. The ride over the dam is very beautiful; what other time can you cycle "across the sea?" On Helnaes, there's a parking lot right at the beginning with a good view of the dam.
