My advice is to go up from Adro and follow the circular path from the left in a clockwise direction, going around the mountain and going up, leaving the lake behind and then going down the steepest direct route. It is the longest ring that can be done in this place and also my favorite.

Once the mountainous area in the north is overcome, the flat Po plane follows. No cause for sadness, because this landscape has much more to offer than its bad reputation. Good roads, little traffic and Italian nonnas cooking pasta as if it had fallen straight from the sky.
