Crossed by the torrent of the same name and mostly in the territory of the municipality of Pisogne, Val Palot has some ski facilities and in summer it can be climbed both by bike and on foot. The roads and paths of Val Palot lead to the over 1,600 meters of Colle San Zeno.

Challenging climb, but scenic from both sides..

This is the Passo Croce: an important junction point where various forest roads and paths converge. Here you can fill your water supplies, the locals call this place: "il fontanone" because of the presence of a large drinking trough from which to draw drinking water. From this point several trails start, maintained by local associations that promote the use of mountain biking.

Long but not too demanding climb

This long climb leads from the town of Lavone at the bottom of the valley to the top of the Colle di San Zeno (1,420m). They are almost 14km immersed in the woods and mountains of Val Trompia with extraordinary views of Mount Guglielmo and the mountain pastures. Climbing high mountains requires a fair amount of training

The Colle San Zeno can be traveled from the west starting in Pisogne, as well as from the east starting in Pezzaze. Most of the west driveway is beautifully paved. The east approach is unfortunately getting a bit old, which you can clearly see from the road. Nevertheless, the pass is completely paved and easy to drive on with a racing bike.
