The current parish church stands on the same site as the older church, also dedicated to Saint Cassian and, since the 16th century, to Saint Hippolytus. Its small size and growing population prompted the parish priests of the first half of the 19th century to ask the municipal community of Vanzago for financial assistance to build a larger church. A cycle/pedestrian path with greenery and shade in the summer. In the warmer months, it runs alongside the canal.

The spectacular WWF oasis of Vanzago is a protected natural area rich in specimens of wild flora and fauna. Inside you can also find the Rescue Center for Wild Animals. A beautiful place to take a break from cycling, interesting for adults and children.
