A frame offers "Auen Blicke" (floodplain views), somewhat overgrown but a beautiful photo opportunity. Next to it is an information cube about the Ems Cycle Path, an information resource located along the route. It provides information about sights, the route, and other relevant topics for cyclists. It is part of the cycle path's signage and is intended to provide cyclists with an easy way to learn about the surrounding area.

About 300 meters east of the Ems Cycle Path, somewhat hidden away, lies this small observation tower. From here, one has fantastic views of the renaturalized Ems floodplains. The Heinz Rinsche Tower owes its name to the former Emsdetten teacher and environmentalist Heinz Rinsche, under whose leadership the Ems Conservation Association was founded.
