I've done it twice in the same lap, first from Desso, then after climbing Monte Pora. They're completely different. From Desso, it's long and always in double digits, with significant peaks, so take it with a pinch of salt; the other is rideable. Seeing is believing. 🚴‍♀️

The condition of the road surface is quite challenging. A mix of severe pottholes and gravel requires your entire attention when descending! You better don't take unnecesary risks and reduce your speed accordingly... If you got the choice, you better use this side of the climb for ascending. The route - except for the last kilometers - runs predominantly through a forest which offers some pleasant shadow on summer rides. Arriving at the top, you can choose from 3 different directions: towards Passo Crocedomini, down Val Trompia, or traversing to Passo della Spina.

The Sette Crocette pass, an ancient connection road between the upper Val Trompia and the Val Grigna (lateral tributary of the Camonica Valley), is characterized by the presence of a dry stone wall with seven iron crosses (originally made of wood, then replaced with the current ones) and a stone with the date of 1688 carved.
