From here, you can reach the Hanseatic cities of Rostock and Wismar in less than an hour. The station is also the starting point of the historic Molli narrow-gauge railway, which takes you to the center of Bad Doberan in just a few minutes.

All paths in Quellholz have been beautifully restored. There are new benches and bridges, and even a fitness trail.

In Althof, the ruins of the old monastery barn, a Cistercian building, are worth exploring. It is considered the oldest monastery agricultural building in Mecklenburg. A few meters further on, a chapel rises, which owes its current appearance to a 19th-century renovation of the old building. A gravestone commemorates Woizlawa, the wife of the Wendish prince Pribislav, who is buried here.

The first monastery in what is now Doberan was founded on this site in 1171. It only existed for a few years. In 1186 the monastery was founded on the site of the present-day cathedral in Doberan. The origins of the chapel here date back to the 14th century. However, the chapel was given its current appearance in the 19th century by Möckel.
