Nice forest south of Odder for hiking or jogging, especially on hot summer days. There is a parking lot in the north where you can start.

Bavnen is a quiet country lane leading toward Haldrup. It offers stunning views over open farmland and Horsens Fjord. There’s even a bench along the way – perfect for a short break to enjoy the landscape.

I always find it interesting when a user describes highlights under tips, even though, according to their tours, they've never actually been there. The very nature of the building itself suggests that this was once a dairy. This, too, appears to have been 'gobbled up' by the Danish dairy giant ARLA, as I've seen happen with several other dairy companies in North Jutland. Now, two smaller boutiques are located in the adjacent buildings. A small shop with an excellent selection of many different Danish cheeses. The historic building suggests a rich history. It is presumably the original factory outlet of Mejeri Björndam (https://saxildarkiv.dk/leksikon/oversigt?view=article&id=154:mejeriet-kjaeldsdam&catid=18), which was located across the street and closed in 1990. The employee reports that the cheese and milk now come from other smaller coking plants that have not yet been "devoured" by the Danish dairy giant ARLA.

A Købmand, the kind you'd often find near Danish beaches. Presumably, because it's close to the campsite, it's not quite as "clock-like" as I'm used to in other places. A fairly long pier, offering good views of Saksild Beach to the north and Hou Harbor to the south. Unlike other piers, the planks on this one apparently aren't removed in winter.
