Built from rough fieldstones and granite blocks, this Romanesque church from the 12th to 13th centuries impresses with its 16th-century porch and crenellated gables, as well as a copy of Thorvaldsen's Christ figure on the altar. Its location in Glesborg invites you to explore the historic walls and use it as a base for other highlights such as the Sankt Gertruds Sti – a pilgrimage route through Djursland. Combine your visit with a trip to the nearby harbor town of Bønnerup or the city of Grenaa for a diverse experience of nature and culture.

A very beautiful, unpaved section of the route, with fantastic views across the heath and towards the Baltic Sea.

Small but charming harbor. You can also get warm fried fish at the fish shop. Just ask. It's just a shame that all the cafes are closed on certain days of the week.

Nice path along the sea. Again and again beautiful views and nice gravel road.
