Church in Aukrug

Nice opportunity to take a break on a bench in the shade of a tree.

This rest area with table and benches, parking and bicycle racks is located directly at the canoe entry and exit of the Stör in Willenscharren. The historic castle rampart is also nearby.

Here the street "Am Wallberg" crosses the Stör with a bridge. Here there is a canoe landing with 🅿️, seating with table & bike rack, as well as the historic castle rampart.

On July 26, 2025, the cyclists of the 2025 Federal Cycling Meeting in Kellinghusen will be properly fed so that they can make it through the last 28 km to the finish. Have a good trip!

The cemetery behind the church is in a quiet location, has several benches, some of which are sunny, a short linden tree alley and several water taps. This makes it a very suitable place to take a break.

Next door is a memorial from 1922 for those who died in World War I. The memorial and the church tower, which was built later, are therefore from the same period and their designs were created by the imperial building councillor and church architect Jürgen Kröger, who lived in Innien in retirement.
