The Communstolln is a mining facility first documented in 1739. Today, it is 300 meters long and, after extensive reconstruction, was used as a water tunnel for the drinking water supply of the town of Lößnitz from 1866 onwards. At that time, the flow rate was 200 liters of water per minute. Historical Salt Road - an important connecting route across the Ore Mountains to Bohemia. The small snow-white crystals of table salt are almost inconspicuous to us today, but they are indispensable as a seasoning and preservative mineral. It seems hard to imagine that salt was once worth its weight in gold. The extensive salt trade led to the early development of a so-called system of paths. Paths on which this important exchange product was mainly transported - the salt roads were created. Due to its abundant salt springs, Halle in particular was the starting point for several trade routes that ran in various directions. Today, the section within the Lößnitz district serves as a "hiking and educational trail" for young and old.
