Don't go there when schools are on holiday it's very busy

Durdle Door is one of England's most iconic and photographed natural landmarks, located on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset, England. It's a massive, natural limestone arch that juts out dramatically into the sea. Durdle Door was formed over millions of years by the relentless erosive power of the sea. Around 140 million years ago, during the Jurassic period, the area was covered by a shallow, warm sea, leading to the deposition of sediment layers, including limestone. Tectonic forces uplifted and tilted these rock layers, and over millennia, the sea wore away softer rock, leaving behind the more resistant Portland limestone that forms the arch. You can even see ripple marks from an ancient fossilized forest in the rock at the top of the arch.

A wonderful area. Breathtaking views of the cliffs and the sea; it's worth coming here for hiking and, in the summer, definitely for swimming. I recommend staying at the nearby Durdle Door Holiday Park.

You can walk down the steps to the beach. It's a beautiful rock formation and the scenery is breathtaking. There are caves in the rocks, which are cool to see. Great for hiking (we were here in December) and definitely nice for swimming in the summer. If you're passing through, I recommend spending a night at the Durdle Door Holiday Park above the beach.

You can get to the beach if you go down some step an muddy stairs. But it’s worth it

Kayakers often drive through the small cave. It is beautiful to look at and the colorful kayaks with the turquoise sea make a beautiful photo opportunity

In the summer on weekends it gets really crowded, very crowded! In the morning it's still OK. On the way back in the afternoon it was brutal 🙈.
