The Elbe-Lübeck Canal dominates the landscape around Kühsen. Since 1900, it has connected the Elbe and Trave rivers, flowing peacefully through fields and meadows. Today, it is primarily used by pleasure boats. A well-developed hiking trail runs directly along the shore, ideal for longer walks—whether toward Lauenburg or Lübeck.
