From here you have a fantastic view of the old town of Lauenburg with its red clinker facades and its pointed church tower.

I wasn't there directly, I drove past 100 meters, but I almost always find these volunteer initiatives praiseworthy

The "Hohes Elbufer" (W30) hiking trail also runs along this spot, which I highly recommend. From the Auwiesen headland between the Elbe and the Elbe-Lübeck Canal there is this great view of Lauenburg.

Documents prove that this charming half-timbered house with its carvings was built in 1573. Currently, the house houses an ice cream parlor, which invites you to linger simply because of its ambiance.

The Buchhorst Forest Railway is the remaining 600-millimeter section of the brickworks and matchstick railway, located in Schleswig-Holstein, which was finally closed in 1981 and now operates like a museum railway.
