Disrespectfully called a mud pond by the locals, it's actually a nice little loop around a beautifully situated body of water.

In Stromberg, a mass of lime from the Middle Devonian is mined, which is burned on site in a special plant. Minerals were found in quartz and calcite veins. The dating of the age of the lime goes back to a fossil find from 1909 by Karl Geib. The area was also occasionally mined for lead ore. Unfortunately, nothing can be seen of these relics. Part has fallen victim to rock quarrying.
