Very nice moated castle. The NSG Bodelschwingher Wald is also very beautiful, but the A 45 goes straight through here, which is hardly noticeable after a few meters.

We spent a lunch break at the castle mill. It is right at the junction of the Lippeauen Lünen cycle path and offers plenty of seating and a beautiful watering hole. The mill can also be used for civil weddings. Very idyllic and very nice to switch off.

Bicycles must be parked in front of the entrance gate. You can walk around the area on foot and in about 20 minutes. There is a lookout tower with a wonderful view of the country and a castle chapel, which is also worth seeing. There is also a wine bar and two coffees, and there is also a museum to admire.
